Regulations for purchasing high-proof alcohol for industrial-use
Residents in Washington must apply for a "Class 1, 2 or 6 permit." There is a yearly limit—please keep track of each order amount total gallons purchased within allotted amount stated on permit application. Once permit is issued customer must send copy to [email protected] with name of customer in subject line as well as how many gallons is left on permit at time order is placed.
Class Permits 1, 2, or 6 — Alcohol Permits — for the purchase of ethyl alcohol not used for consumption.
- Permit 1—used by a physician, dentist or a person in charge of an institution like a hospital or sanitarium.
- Permit 2—used by a person engaged in mechanical or manufacturing business, such as boat cleaning.
- Permit 6—used by a person operating a drug store to be sold on the RX of a physician.
